New permanent building acquired by ASC | Launch date February 2018

ASC has acquired a 35,000sqft, 3252m2 new build property in Croydon. We are currently building 80 purpose built artists workspaces and a public art gallery.  The Charity will hold a 125 year lease on the property.

The ‘A.S.C. Art House’ will offer artists secure, low cost workspace with floor to ceiling windows, secure cycle storage, full disability access and free use of a huge exhibition space.

Part of a new mixed use development, ‘Grafton Quarter,’ will be located on Grafton Road, 15 minutes walk from West Croydon Station. Artists will take up occupation alongside Grafton Quarter’s residents; with 88 apartments across five new buildings and nine town houses, this is an inspired and creative development. The whole community will enjoy the benefits of the beautifully landscaped garden at its centre, with its benches, children’s play area and War Memorial Garden.

In addition there will be a co-working space providing desks and bookable meeting rooms offered free to tenant artists and under a flexible membership scheme to non-tenants on day, week, month, 3 month, 6 month and yearly tariffs.

Practical completion is estimated February 2018.
